alaya.dixith.com shows two things made by Dixith Labs at work: the Alaya theme and the Alaya Pro plugin. The Start here page explains both.
Who runs it
This site is made and run by Dixith Labs, India. It exists to show how Alaya and Alaya Pro look and behave on a real WordPress site, so that you can decide whether they suit yours.
What is real here
The theme and the plugin are exactly the versions sold in the Dixith Labs Store, with every feature of the plugin switched on. The writing is sample writing, made for this site in English and in Kannada. The writers named under the pieces are invented. The towns in the travel pieces are put together from several places. The Rigveda verses are as they have long been recited; the meanings beside them were written for this site in plain words.
Why there are no photographs
A theme for reading should look right with nothing but words. We would also rather show no pictures than show pictures we have no right to use.
The name
ಆಲಯ (aalaya) is a word shared by Kannada, Sanskrit and many other Indian languages. It means a dwelling: the place where something lives. A theme is where a site's words live.
